Common Questions

Questions We are Commonly Asked

Q.  How long will it take to receive my building?

A.  Lead times vary from 2 weeks to 5 weeks depending on the time of year. In the spring and the fall we usually have longer lead times.

Q.  Is a foundation necessary?

A.  For small buildings, up to an 8×10, they can sit directly on the ground. Our structures are built on pressure treated 4×4’s keeping the floor off the ground. For more detailed information of site preparation click here.

Q.  How do you delivery the buildings fully built?

A.  We deliver the buildings via a full sized 1 ton pick up truck with a hydrolic shed trailer. We will back up to the site and use a remote control the to move the trailer to set the building gently on the ground and into place. It is very important that we have the proper clearance to access the site. To give you an idea our rig is approximately 4 car lengths long (41′ long). We need 15′ wide by 15′ high of clearance. Also if the structure needs to go around a corner of a building we will need amble space to turn. Look for low tree branches, fence posts, mail boxes, gates, shrubbery, telephone lines and wires. Steep inclines or declines, and soil conditions, drainage lines, etc. If your not sure you have the necessary space our sales associates can help find the best delivery option for you. Q.  How long does it take a crew to build a building on site?

A.  We will complete the project in one day.

Q.  Do I need experience to put together a kit?

A.  Yes, a handyman with some carpentry experience is required. These buildings are constructed very much like a real home, and require a skilled carpenter to assemble.
